Lottery's have been around for years, even before the gold rush so this should be a fun addition to the server.
There are 3 lottery types, daily, weekly, and monthly.
Each one pays out on its own scale daily being less, weekly a little more, and monthly will have the biggest payout but they only payout either once a day, once a week, or once a month.
The winner gets the pot so the higher the pot the more money you can win.
Commands:
/lottery - get list of player commands
/lottery buy <day/week/month> <x number of tickets> - buy tickets for a lottery
/lottery list - get list of lotteries
