Increased amount of players.

Whats your main idea: Increase the amount of players on the server.

Would everyone benefit for this: I believe so. More players, larger community, more trading opportunities, overall, a more enjoyable experience. As is, at times it feels like all the gold veins have been tapped, and Coldspring has become a ghost town. Not to mention, with more players, it'd be a good opportunity to open up a new town.

How would you implement it: Post the server info on multiple sites, personally I'd suggest planetminecraft.com, I've used it multiple times to post a server, and it's usually brought in quite a few players each time. Granted, most will just join, then leave since it might not be to their liking, but a good chunk will be likely to stay. The more info you put onto the post, the better. Screen shots would be helpful as well, as photo'd postings will get more views.

The gold vains are FAR from tapet. Its prolly about 80% none strip mined at this time in the Gravel to Gold area. Even then you can go out past that where gravel is not gold. And then you can sell the gravel for the same price as gold without spending coal and time. As with any server people come and go. Even if they realy like the server they leave eventually for something else. Why not advertise the server yourself. Ive maid a fiew posts in a fiew places.

In regards to the gold veins being dried up, I was trying to make a joke. The reference was to when the real gold rush ended, and everyone left. I was meaning, that I see almost nobody online during the day, and that it felt like a ghost town on the server.

On that note, I'm currently in one of those zones where gravel is still gravel, and I know that it's just as valuable in the bank.


I have advertised the server myself, in a few forums, but those haven't had many views. I'd love to make an actual listing for the server on PMC, and really draw in some crowds, but I'd rather have permission given to me from Clawstorm( I assume he's the owner), and his approval given on a draft, before I go and make a full blown proper posting on PMC.

I've run servers before, and I've seen people make adverts without running it by me, and usually, they ended up hurting things rather than helping. (Poor spelling/grammar. Makes it look bad, etc...)
I understand that people come and go, it's what we've all done, and some of us still do once in awhile.
I'm just saying, it might be useful for a few more official posts to be made on other sites. The only listing I found for this server, was on minecraftforum.net, and I only found it by chance of doing a search for goldrush, looking for a themed server.

I am looking for more quality than quantity and I did post the server info on reddit and minecraft forums. But if you guys would like to keep the minecraft forum thread up or post the server info in other places I have no problems with that.

Heh, I posted it in 1 place today and immiedetly 5 new players came. Tho 4 of them have quit already. But hey 1 new memeber
